Jean Canterbury, Broker/Owner
|
A native of the Canon City, Westcliffe area of Southern Colorado, my interests have centered around the outdoors lifestyle. Beginning with hiking, fishing, skiing, riding and backpacking as a child, and later horse-packing and hunting, I spend my vacation time in the Colorado outdoors with my Husband Jack, my dogs and my horses as much as possible. I graduated High School from St. Scholastica Academy for Girls in Canon City, and then Fort Lewis College in Durango with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.
After college, I lived in Nevada and the San Francisco Bay Area for a number of years where I worked for Navlet’s Nursery in Walnut Creek California and attained my Certification as a California Certified Nurserywoman with a specialization in Insects, Diseases and Weeds.
After moving back to Colorado, I began working in Real Estate, first in Colorado Springs and then in Westcliffe, where my husband and I opened our company,United Country Wapiti Realty in 2000. I love living in the mountains, being a Rancher’s wife, and helping people buy and sell real estate.

I was born and raised in Buffalo New York. After living in a big city for so long, my husband and I decided to move to Westcliffe in 2009 with our 3 daughters, then blessed with a 4th daughter after moving here. (Some say it was the altitude). With 3 of them in school, we get to be involved in the school and our community while enjoying what Colorado has to offer. We enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding, hunting, camping, anything outdoors, and there is always something to do. This is a very friendly, family oriented community. I started working for United Country in 2010, I get to be the first person you talk to and share with you how wonderful Westcliffe is and what our office can offer you, and have enjoyed every day since.

Elizabeth Maestas
|
|
Elizabeth is a Colorado native with extensive family ties in Pagosa Springs and the Alamosa Valley, plus several other cities and towns throughout the state. After finishing High School at the top of her class in Pagosa, she moved to Farmington, New Mexico where she studied for and acquired a New Mexico Real Estate License in 1979. The market in Farmington took a nose dive during the 80’s along with an oil-field bust so she entered the retail sales field, working for companies such as Beall’s, Panache (A Unique Boutique), and Dillard’s where she quickly became Business Manager of the Estee Lauder Cosmetics Department and enjoyed 20+ years overall as a Coach, Team leader, Event Planner and Pacesetter. Once her children grew up and started their own families, Elizabeth was ready for a change, having never lost her love for small town Colorado and upon visiting her sister, who lives in the area; she decided that she had found the place where she would like to spend the rest of her life. Nothing compares to waking up to the sight of those beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the beauty of this valley.
Since moving to Westcliffe in 2005, while making a living as Hostess at Pizza Madness, Elizabeth focused on furthering her education by taking online courses in Business Administration through Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs and Grand Canyon University out of Phoenix, Arizona.
Elizabeth is looking forward to establishing long time relationships with United Country Wapiti Realty Sellers and Buyers by providing excellent customer service and assuring each client that they are number one in her book and their questions and concerns are always foremost in her daily efforts.
