Although sparsely
populated, the community offers numerous amenities. Area
attractions include the Jones Theater, a former saloon that
entertained silver miners of the late 1800s.

productions and movies, and is managed by the Westcliffe Center
for the Performing Arts. Other area events and attractions
include the High Mountain Hay Fever Blue Grass Festival,
Bishop's Castle, Silver Cliff Museum, the Westcliffe Museum and

County Elementary School, Custer Middle School and Custer County
High School. Colleges and universities include Adams State
